Awkwafina
Awkwafina is an American performer and actor who started her career through innovative raps which addressed sexuality and racial identities with an edgy, comical perspective. Then she branched out into Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical experience. She was a trumpet player. Jazz, classical and hip-hop education began when she was just a teenager. When she was in college, she concentrated on her studies and majored both in women's study and journalism. While she was for a brief amount during her time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were offered as well. When she graduated, she started to concentrate on music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet and was later released on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. It also contained songs that were viral such as body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown New York Bitche$. The single that debuted was specifically linked to Awkwafinas NYC, her travel guide for 2015. Following a career that was successful as a singer, she took on the character of actress. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films such as Neighbors to Storks. In the year 2018, she was offered a number of major roles like Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. This June, she released her EP "In Fina We Trust".
