Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer best recognized for her roles was as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress, producer and director who works in television and film. Her stage debut was in the year 2000 before appearing in mainstream, independent and television series. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she received critical acclaim and a variety of awards and nominations, among them the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. Her career began acting in 1995 when she played Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. Alongside Broadway's Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In terms of her film career Her most well-known roles are Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. For her work on television she's received praise for her part as the regular character in ABC's police drama High Incident.
