Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero, an American actor and singer, is a former model. She was the lead female singer for Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. Apollonia is a singer/actress who was who was christened by Prince in 1984, became one of the many female singers of the 1980s who benefited from Prince. Patricia Kotero began her acting and modeling career in Santa Monica California, in the latter half of the '70s. The first time she appeared was on CHiPS. The show's lead actress was of Prince's Purple Rain in 1984 (at which point he had changed her name). At the time of that year, she was replaced by Vanity as a member of the group Vanity 6 as well as performed alongside the group under the name Apollonia 6 in the film. Apollonia was the first artist to release her album in 1988. However, it was not a great album of dance music and R&B which did not draw attention from the audience. It quickly vanished out of sight. Apollonia remained in the spotlight (if somewhat under the radar) in the role of actress throughout the ensuing decade with small TV roles as well as minor film as well as releasing the exercise film.
